Indigenous Youth Voices Matter in Atlantic Canada
Here is your chance to speak out – and you could win a either a $250 Amazon Gift Card or an all expense paid trip to Ottawa to take part in a youth gathering of Indigenous youth from Atlantic Canada! The link to the We’re Listening Survey is at the bottom on this page if you’re ready to speak up!
If you are between 13 – 18 years old, self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit), and live in Atlantic Canada, (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland or Labrador) you can participate!
Deadline: February 1st, 2024
This survey will help us learn from you, the experts, about what Indigenous young people in Atlantic Canada are feeling and thinking about. We know that for all young people, life can sometimes be great, and sometimes, it gets difficult for a bit. Yet we also know that you(th) carry greatness inside of you / them and have a lot of skills, gifts, and strengths.
So, this survey asks questions about those strengths that you see around you (and in you) – what Indigenous young people are really solid with.
It also asks about challenges you see, either in your own life, family, or community or just around you overall and suggestions you might have on how they can be dealt with.
This can be an anonymous survey, (so no one knows it was you) and you are not required to include your name and or contact information. Yet, if you are comfortable sharing that with us, we will include you in a draw for a $250 digital Amazon Gift Card and for one of two spots at the We’re Listening Youth Gathering 2024 taking place between February 23rd and February 26th in Ottawa, Ontario!
The more you share the more we can learn from you and the greater your contribution can be!
There are Bonus questions that ask a few deeper questions and for each Bonus question you answer you will receive another entry into the prize draw! While you don’t need to answer the Bonus questions, they will help us better understand your experiences and insights!
We will use what you share to help determine a key area that will be focused on by a smaller group of Indigenous youth at our We’re Listening Youth Gathering taking place between February 23rd – 26th in Ottawa, Ontario.
